This quarry photo (circa 1889) was approximately 20 feet deep and would soon become one of the "Rock of Ages" quarries responsible for yielding the finest memorial granite in the world.



The same Rock of Ages quarry above (cicra 1995) was approximately 450 feet deep and a mile wide! This quarry is still yielding the world's finest memorial granite. We estimate this quarry has a few more good years left, say about 4,500 that is correct 4,500 years....
